Friends, each topic which i cover in any post till date has been very informative. The topic which i have chosen for the day is basic operations of mathematics called Monomials. Let us start with just a simple introduction to basic operations and proceed towards what is monomial.
In Arithmetic, all basic operations can be performed on literal numbers and they obey all the rules of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division just like numbers. The signs used are also the same here. Lets learn what is monomial below with some example.
Introduction of Monomial:- Monomial is an algebraic expression having one term. These terms or monomial are separated using addition and subtraction signs. Only like terms can be added or subtracted and brought to a simple form. It can also be defined as a polynomial with one term. Variable expression and a constant number can be a monomial. The value of a variable is not fixed but the constant has a fixed value. It should not have a negative or a fractional exponents.
Example: 17x, -15c, 5 etc...
